The Cutest Espresso Backflow Incense Burner You’ll Ever See

I’m a hardcore coffee lover and also someone obsessed with all things fragrance, haha. Perfume, diffusers, incense sticks — they’re absolute daily essentials for me. All these different “scents” play a huge role in my life. In fact, aromatic materials are incredibly powerful for emotional regulation. When you smell a scent you truly love, you really do feel refreshed, relaxed, and uplifted. It’s the same kind of magic you get from coffee.

So imagine this — what if we combine coffee elements with incense? Wouldn’t that instantly make every coffee lover’s eyes light up? Over the years, I’ve tried plenty of products that blend the two, like coffee perfumes and coffee-scented candles. But in my experience, most fragrances struggle to authentically recreate the smell of real coffee, and many of these products rely heavily on synthetic ingredients. I haven’t found anything that truly satisfies me.

But what if we shift the approach? I mean — instead of chasing the smell of coffee, why not recreate the equipment or tools of coffee and turn them into an incense burner?

Now that’s perfection!
Not long ago, I discovered a handmade studio called Dirt Boy. Their focus is creating fun home décor using concrete and ceramics. And when I saw this espresso-style backflow incense burner, it was love at first sight — instant obsession!

This product is essentially a backflow incense burner, but it’s designed based on the shape of an espresso machine, cleverly merging the two worlds. Its appearance reminds me of those simple home espresso machines, and it even comes in red, green, orange, and pink — all ridiculously adorable. The top lid opens just like a real machine. What was originally the water tank area is divided into two sections: the back compartment stores your incense cones, and the front compartment — near the “brew head” — is where you place the lit cone. Once lit, the smoke flows through the filter basket and down to the brew head, creating the illusion of “coffee liquid” and fragrance pouring out. How brilliant is that?

If you look closely at this espresso backflow incense burner, you’ll notice the designer even added a silver metallic shine to the outer ring of the “pressure gauge,” the drip tray cover, and the brew head area around the powder bowl. These textures and color contrasts not only make the product resemble a real espresso machine more closely, but also give it a lively, refined touch. Except for the top lid, the rest of the “coffee machine body” is a single integrated piece. And it even comes with a tiny espresso cup — partly to catch any falling ash, and partly to complete the scene by mimicking the look of a coffee machine paired with a cup.
